As a 7-year-old living in the US, he spoke no English, but quickly adapted to his new living environment by getting involved in the soccer community.  Some of his favorite soccer memories involve scoring a game winning goal in State Cup and also playing against the then USL Sounders as a 15-year-old.  Damir played his high school soccer at Newport High School and his club soccer with Issaquah Arsenal Premier, and Eastside FC.  Damir has also spent time coaching with the Newport High School Varsity team, Mercer Island Club, and Newport Youth Soccer.

In Coach Damir’s short tenure with NPSA, he has already had a tremendous amount of success with his B04 White Bellevue team.  The B04 White team won the Classic 2 division in and they were also the 2016 Starfire XtremeCup Champions. Damir looks to replicate the same amount of success and more heading into the 2017 season. He likes to play Pep Guardiola like soccer and his teams like to go forward with numbers.  “Soccer is a true love and passion of mine and I love what I do.
