"Who are you?" That is a question we hear quite often at NPSA. The club is the brainchild of our founder and DOC Adam Nowland.
Adam, a former EPL professional, came to America originally to play the game towards the end of his career. While he was still playing, as is the case with all professional players in England, he was told to "give back" to the game that gave him so much.
As a UEFA licensed coach, Adam assessed the traditional model of youth soccer in the US and saw that there was a void that needed to be filled. He saw that the traditional model was restrictive and was only available to those who could afford it. Growing up in England everyone could play organized soccer regardless of their background.
To help serve communities that may not get exposure to the beautiful game of soccer, Adam set up the NPSA Foundation. The foundation works hard to give opportunities to those players that wouldn't ordinarily have them.
To date, there are many players within NPSA that are a product of the excellent work done by the NPSA Foundation. Not satisfied with this, Adam also saw the need for a high caliber club that was staffed with well trained professional coaches who truly cared about their players and families.
The NPSA curriculum was written by Adam and is continuously trained on and implemented by all the NPSA coaching staff. Adam's idea is simple. If you want to play, you can. If you want to be the best player you can possibly be, NPSA will help you get there. Opportunities for players to continually work and get better educated are always available and new programs are always being implemented.
If there is a new method in the sport you can guarantee that NPSA is looking to offer it to its players. At NPSA we want to be the benchmark club that all others strive to be like. We care deeply about our players and families and we work hard to provide the best experience possible.
