Over the weekend, our NPSA B02 Navy team defeated rival club FC Bellevue in an exciting 3-2 win! The boys battled hard and played some amazing soccer throughout the match. Our club couldn't be more proud of their efforts over the weekend. "I was proud of the way the boys bounced back from last weekend," said Coach Keegan. "The boys came together and played like a team this weekend. They were tough to beat, very physical, intelligent, and I haven't seen the chemistry click this well since becoming the head coach of this squad."
Despite taking on a number of injuries throughout the game, some players not being available for the match, and a couple players who were feeling under the weather, the boys were able to rise above and overcome the challenges presented. Game winning goal scorer Alex (pictured right) came off the pitch early in the second half due to the heat. After getting hydrated, Alex demanded to go back on the pitch and his hustle play in the dying minutes made the difference.
Great result from our B02 Navy team and they will be looking to carry this momentum into next weekend's fixture as they compete against FPSC Fury. Hopefully the boys will have a repeat performance! Well done boys!
